Privacy Policy
The app collects nothing.
Effective 5 October 2026
Plain Scripture is an iPhone app that shows one Bible verse a day. This policy is short because the app collects nothing.
What the app collects
Nothing. Plain Scripture has no account, asks for no email address, and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code. It does not send any information about you or your use of the app to us or to anyone else.
What stays on your phone
- The Bible texts are built into the app. Reading them needs no connection, and no record of what you read leaves your phone.
- Verses you save, notes you write, the days you mark as read and your settings are stored on your device only. They are included in your own device backup (iCloud or computer) under Apple’s terms, not ours.
- The daily reminder is scheduled on your phone by the app. No server sends it.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the payment and, if you ask for one, the refund. Apple’s privacy policy covers that transaction: apple.com/legal/privacy. The app receives from Apple only the fact that the purchase is active, which it stores on your phone so the features stay open.
Crash reports
If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymised crash reports. We cannot identify you from them. You can turn this off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
Children
The app has no accounts and collects no data, so there is nothing to collect from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be at this same address with a new effective date. Because the app collects nothing, we do not expect it to.
